Property specialists in touch with charity

A total of £1,400 has been raised for a charity working to end youth homelessness thanks to the annual touch rugby tournament organised by commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

LSH, which has offices in Fareham and Southampton, organised the fun event at the Trojan’s Rugby Club in Eastleigh. Fifteen teams of property agents, solicitors, architects and project managers from across the South Coast took part in the tournament, which raised funds for the charity LandAid.

A strong performance from Southampton-based Lainston Securities secured the trophy. All proceeds will go to LandAid, a charity that brings the property industry together to help protect young people on the streets, provide accommodation and training and tackle the root causes of homelessness.

The charity invests more than £1 million every year in projects and is bidding to end youth homelessness by 2026.

Graham Holland, Head of South Coast for LSH said: “It was a privilege for us to organise this rugby tournament for the 12th year running. The tournament upheld its reputation of always taking place on a sunny day and a great time was had by everyone on and off the pitch. The proceeds will go towards a very worthwhile cause that aims to give every young person a home, a cause that we at LSH are passionate about.”
